Career Inspiration
Engineering Awareness Day
Engineering Awareness Day provides students with the opportunity to meet and learn directly from professionals working across a range of engineering disciplines.
Several industry professionals, representing different engineering roles and sectors, will each be allocated a table. Students will be divided into groups of approximately 10 and will rotate around the room, spending 10 minutes at each table in an interactive session. This carousel format ensures that every student has the opportunity to engage with every professional, gaining insight into different career pathways, skills, qualifications, and real-world engineering projects.
The event aims to:
- Raise awareness of careers in engineering.
- Provide meaningful engagement with industry professionals.
- Develop students’ understanding of the skills required in engineering roles.
- Inspire young people to consider engineering as a future career pathway.
- Showcase the diversity of opportunities available within the engineering sector.
